About Us

For the last few decades there has been an explosion of recent advances in medicine. It is essential to keep updated with these advances in order to maintain high standard of care that is expected from Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). This society, which saw its inception in 2014, is an effort in this regard and has been growing ever after. This society fosters research and competitive ability in Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of medical colleges in India.

Bangalore Medical Congress, organised by Command Hospital Air Force Bangalore, is an endeavour towards a long felt need of having a platform for civil military cooperation for enriching the Armed Forces Medical Services. 

11th edition of BMC is scheduled for 19-20 Sep 25. The highlights of this conference include deliberations by stalwarts from medical and non-medical fields, sharing their perspective.  The society through its annual conference facilitates free exchange of ideas among doctors from Armed Forces and civil medical institutions. 

Bangalore Medical Congress is a registered society vide Registrar of Societies, Govt of Karnataka Memorandum No. DRB-3/SOR/502/2019-20 with its office located in Medical Division, Command Hospital Air Force Bangalore.
DGAFMS has approved the inclusion of BMC in the list of approved associations/ societies/ professional bodies.
